City of king, CA - 2007-2014 housing element

LWC was hired to update the City of King Housing Element for the planning period from 2007 to 2014. The Housing Element was adopted by the City Council in June 2010 and was certified by the State Department of Housing and Community Development.

The City of King is a small jurisdiction in Monterey County. LWC worked closely with City Staff to craft a Housing Element that complies with State law and is uniquely appropriate for King City. The Housing Element update includes a focus on preserving the City's rural character, addressing farm worker housing, and building housing policy around a compact, pedestrian-friendly downtown.
