City of kingsburg, California - Development Code Update and form-based code

Lisa Wise Consulting, as part of a consultant team led by Opticos Design, Inc., was hired by the City of Kingsburg in Fresno County to perform a Development Code update. LWC's focus on the project includes an economic analysis of the downtown, including an evaluation of catalyst projects and recommendations on their feasibility.

As part of the analysis, LWC has conducted over 30 hours of one-on-one interviews with land owners, business owners, and civic leaders. The interviews provide valuable insights into the community's greatest assets and opportunities for economic development in the downtown area. The analysis is intended to give civic leaders an understanding of economic opportunities and constraints that will drive a more resilient Development Code.
