san luis obispo county, ca
- los osos habitat conservation plan
In August 2010, LWC was retained by the County of San Luis Obispo to develop the Los Osos Habitat Conservation Plan (LOHCP), which was required as a condition of approval for the Los Osos Wastewater Project. The LOHCP must meet the requirements of the California and Federal Endangered Species Acts. As such, the LOHCP is intended to report on the existing environmental setting and biological resources in Los Osos, quantify impacts of covered activities, map out a conservation program, propose steps for implementation, and identify a funding strategy. In May 2011, the County was not awarded an extension on their federal funding. As a result, LWC is no longer working on the project.
