The city of morro bay
- 715 embarcadero marine structural analysis
LWC was hired by the City of Morro Bay as the lead firm to conduct a land use and environmental constraints analysis, structural condition assessment, and budget estimate for the renovation and repair of one of the three commercial fishing offloading pier facilities in the harbor. The work was funded by a grant from the Central California Joint Fisheries/Cable Liaison Committee (CCJCFLC).
LWC produced a comprehensive inventory of required regulatory permitting and biological assessments with budget estimates and timelines for replacement/repair of the wooden structure. Environmental constraints included cost and time assessments for pre and post construction eelgrass and caulerpa surveys, as well as environmental permits (Rivers and Harbors Act, Army Corp of Engineers). LWC also coordinated a "registered professional engineer" structural inspection through Tetra Tech of Long Beach. The Structural Condition Assessment included as-built verification drawings and recommendations on repair alternatives. LWC compiled the final report for the City.
