City of richmond, CA - livable corridors plan

Lisa Wise Consulting, Inc., as part of a consultant team led by Opticos Design, Inc., was hired by the City of Richmond to develop a Livable Corridors Plan to guide development along MacDonald Avenue, 23rd Street, and San Pablo Avenue. The Plan will address economic vitality, environmental quality, and public health, and will include a form-based code to encourage the development of a high quality public realm and allow for a range of appropriate building uses.

The planning process will include significant outreach to community groups, residents, and businesses through stakeholder interviews, regular advisory committee meetings, three multi-day design charrettes, and several public hearings.  

The consultant team includes The Local Government Commission, Sherwood Design Engineers, Fehr and Peers Transportation Consultants, Urban Advisors Ltd., and Contra Costa Health Services.
