Lisa Wise Consulting, Inc. was hired by the County of San Luis Obispo to perform an Economic Study for Agricultural Cluster Subdivision Ordinance. The project included a full assessment of the costs associated with rural development in areas that are removed from public services and utilities, as wells as an assessment of fees exacted for such development, impacts on farmers, land values, crop mix and productivity, lending practices in the agriculture sector, as well as case studies of other agricultural communities. The final report was designed to give decision makers a comprehensive view of the economic impacts of policy change.
